I did a template for the original East Metro. If this is just a scenery upgrade and not major track alignment changes it should be easy for me to port that over to this updated version.

Trackwork WAS changed on this upgrade. An impressive piece of work. Makes this old route aws good as anything today.

Sure hope someone makes a template for this route. It is a great route for switching. I have worked most of the activities and am looking forward to running my own Skyline generated work orders. Always liked to be my own boss.

I will put it on my list. Seems like the list gets longer, rather than shorter!

Bert, can you advise if the track switches are manual, or are they locked? I.e. do only the paths open the switches, or can you change them at will?

I have found that it is a mixed bag. As I recall most of the main line are pre set and the others are manual. I remember one that was pre set going into CL LL Coal plant and after dropping the load, I could not get back to the main. Finally had to back up, go past the coal plant and on to the main past the coal plant.. Not sure why. Just keeping us on our toes I guess,

There is one engine that is driving me crazy. It is a small switcher called EMRR Krenshaw GE4T on # 1. It is used in the 1st 4 acts. Every time I touch the brakes (Using RailDriver) I have to hit the ; key to release the brake. Nice little engine but the brake thing is a bummer.

I think this route will be fun using our own generated acts. It is like a lay ed back easy going route with quite a few businesses and industries. Great scenery. There is no wye's on the route. Lots of front connections. I find there is no problems with connecting to the front, but I have had a lot of hard disconnects, even with the rear connections.

Waiting for a template.

Bert

I forgot 1 thing. There is one business that has a 2 spurs that does not show on the map.

It is called Big City Business is Great. It is on map titled Big City West. It is Across the tracks from Big City Station, The spur comes off the Main (bottom) track. The spur comes off the main from the left side and the business is aproximently below where the top 2 tracks turn up. Close to BC Yard. It shows on the Station Name view.

Thanks for the feed back. And for the heads up about the missing industry (another post).

Not sure how soon I can get to the EMRR. I have to finish ATSF Needles first, and then I have eight other AG4 projects on the list. How to prioritize those eight is the question.

With Needles nearly finished, I have purchased EMRR and will do it next.

Hi Norm,
In the download from train sim I could not find cefxba2.zip.

There is a cefx2ba1.zip and cefx2ba2.zip. Could this be the one? I installed both just in case. Thanks

Bert
