Hi to all,
In 2007, I have made a template for the GEXR route. I am interested to upgrade the template. One of the reasons is to try to have labelled the remaining unmarked sidings before making the update. I have sent E-mails to its creator Kenneth Shannon but may take while to reply since he doesn't go often at TS or at the Mophouse sites. I remember, following the freeware Cajon route release a couple years ago that yourself Jim and also Don Klaebel had worked together to make an update to the route which included marked sidings for the unmarked ones, with Partick Wise's permission to proceed. How did you proceed in labelling the remaining sidings? I would like to give it a try and hope to reach Kenneth Shannon in the meantime to approve the update. I have tried to do it in the AE but have still to learn this aspect of route making. Any help will be appreciated whether from you Jim or among our AG colleagues. Thanks Denis -------------------- Denis Gionet

Thanks Denis The changes must be made in RE, not AE. If you decide to do this, be careful since you can inadvertently change track or other items which could wreck the route. BACK UP THE ROUTE to a safe location before trying to add new or edit the existing track markers. SAVE OFTEN when working in RE. -------------------- Norman

Thanks for correcting me. It is true, we must be very careful when handling the TDB file of any route. -------------------- Denis Gionet
