Folks,

I tried making an activity earlier today for the Niagara Corridor, and it's causing some problems. The first problem was that the game threw a fit about an error in line three of DundasPlayer.con. I took a look at it and well, there's nothing that I can spot wrong. To be on the safe side, I resaved the thing in ConBuilder.

Problem solved? Wrong. When I clicked on "DRIVE A TRAIN", the game locks up, the drive activity light pulses, and three or four minutes go by before MSTS decides that it wants to quit.

I think the problem is in the activity file, because ConBuilder locks up when I try to check the generated activity. What else can I look at as the source of trouble?

Mr. Beveridge:

I'm getting an error of

Microsoft VBScript runtime error '800a0046'

Permission denied

/forums/functions/functions_send_mail.asp, line 244

when I try to send the PM. Maybe that's affecting it. Anyways, here's the text of the original PM:

Would you mind to look at an activity for me and tell me what I'm doing wrong? I can package the thing up and send it to you at your convenience. In a nutshell, I depart Aldershot headed for Hamilton but find myself veering up to the right, away from where I need to be going. There's a reverse point that keeps floating in front of me, but I can't reverse anywhere due to there being a train blocking the line at one place or the other.

A look at the track diagram PDF availabe at train-sim (Craig K's release) suggests that I need to back down the other main and then enter Hamilton yard so that I can access the yard tracks. However, the switches won't cooperate and neither will signals.

I thought about changing the signals to permissive and the switches to manual, but I don't want to encounter a 60MPH intermodal going the opposite direction on my track. What am I doing wrong?

(Will send APK if you agree.)

It's entirely possible that I'm not smart enough to navigate the Niagara Corridor.
