Newark & New Jersey downloads Options

I have a problem with all of the equipment downloads required. The list has about 25 files with zip to down load and install. I downloaded them except for 3 that I could not find. I have made 2 short wo to see if I really neaded the aprox. 90 outher files without the zip. I figured I could use Activity master to replace the cars.

When I start Train Store, it shows 5 missing files. AM cannot change the engines, which are Hbs_Equipment\HMRR500 and 600 . There is 3 wag. that I thought AM could change, When I start AM I cannot replace the engines. I start the WO and it stops saying it cannot find the 600 engine.

I really do not want to complain about all of the files, but was curious why they cannot use default ones. I have close to 1300 in my trainsets, and it looks like I may have to find another 100. N&NJ is a great route, especially for us yard engineers that like to make switching WO.

Maybe I am having a bad day, but I really wanted to make some switching wo at N&NJ

The I used the origional files that were required by the origional route designer except for an small nunber of cars that I added. I don't understand that AM will not change out engines. The two engines that you are looking for are GE44 tonners and you could change them out with any other small switcher, S2, SW1500 etc. that you have.

Don't use road engines in the dock or street running track as you may have trouble placing cars as the radious of the tracks are too small and would cause the consist and engines to bind going around the curves.

Except for the engines and cabooses I tied to kept the rolling stock list almost the same for each railroad template that is used for this route.
