Hello to all,
As many of you know, the CP Mactier Sub was released last week in TS. The route also includes the entire Barrie-Collingwood (BCRY) short line between both cities. Only one engine is part of the BCRY roster, which is the BCRY 1001 GP9. Unfortunately, the engine was available nowhere among the MSTS downloads. Last Saturday, I have decided to try to create the GP9 for the BCRY. The newly BCRY 1001 has been successfully done and is now available in the Mophouse site as of today for download. Here it is: Also earlier this week, Ted Kocyla has enhanced the route with its texture upgrade. I wanted to finish the BCRY 1001 before going any further with plans to announce my intention to create a template. Now this and the texture upgrade are done, I am now ready to offer to create one for the route, if no one else has already started it. -------------------- Denis Gionet

A question to all including my testers: has anyone experienced the following occurence?
While working on the assignment on the BCRY, the passing 10,000 feet 137-car intermodal monster disappeared for about 12 seconds during its passage as shown here in the following three shots ( with time showing on the lower right): It disappeared at 9h45:12 then reappeared at 9h45:24. My computer is a Dual-core with 3GB of RAM. Maybe this occurence won't show on more powerful computers like in Intel's I3's, I5's or I7's or similar processors from AMD. This is what I would like to know if someone has tested this on their own more powerful machines. Thanks for your help -------------------- Denis Gionet

NB appeared as you said at 9:45:12 and was by a 9:45:37. It did not disappear. I looked at it from different angles front, back and out eng window, and it was always in sight. Ted |

I looked at it from different angles front, back and out eng window, and it was always in sight. Ted Thanks Ted for your information, well appreciated. That probably means that anyone having a stronger processor than mine (Dual Core) such as I3's or higher will not get that disappearing act. Since many of our users have more recent computers, the length of the consist will remain as is. I have already given details about this possible occurence in the readme file. It is the first time ever I use a 10,000 feet consist in any template, nearly 2 miles of train, quite a monster! Have seen one on video and takes some time to cross. Apparently, some intermodals can be as long as 12,000 feet. Quite impressive! Thanks again Ted -------------------- Denis Gionet
