Hi to all,
Close to two years ago, I have begun to test some new grounds in template making.I didn't know where this would lead to but sure wanted to give it a try. That led me in creating my first template for any international route. The British Steyning route was the first and led me to create more for many other countries, including British, German, South African, Austrian, Hungarian, Romanian, Italian, Australian and Swiss routes and brought me a wealth of experience with it and to get to know other MSTS users from other coutries as well. I also had some help among us who gave me some good suggestions for international routes, like Moe and Damo. So thanks to all who helped me in any degree to undertake the challenge. Today, I have decided to rework the Steyning route to make it more interesting since, at the time the template was made, I had limited experience with the templates and also in knowledge with international rail systems. The Steyning route is located along the Britain South shore between Brighton, along the sea and Horsham, about 30 miles North. The template paths are located between Hove and Christs Hospital, which are each a few miles away from the Passenger stations mentioned earlier. It was mostly steam country with dieselization coming in the latter years of its existence. It was closed in 1966 with the British rail reform, in the Early 60's. The timeframe will be around the last years of its existence with the presence of both diesel and steam. A doubled-cab Class 25 will be the player engine for the route with some diesel and steam traffic as well as some DMU traffic of the era. Also the rolling stock has been reviewed to have it more realistic and with more recent stock, I could use them too with higher quality. About 60 sidings and there will be two runs with return paths, that is from Hove to Christs Hospital and return and the other way as well.It is in the testing process and hope to send it to Steve this week-enk Here are some pictures of already generated AG activities. Enjoy ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()
