Steve,
I could use some help. I just finished updating the PRR portion of the Newark and New Jersey route to AG3 I tested all the paths and industries and everything worked. I then saved copies beforei converting the files to AG4.0. Everything works fine until I try running the activity. I'm having a problem with car WAG files not loading when trying to run the program. When I check template act the files in activity master all are on the drive. Then i checked the generated activity file and up to 56 cars (7 different types) report as not being on the drive. I downloaded AG4.1 and still have the same problems. The "missing" cars in the converted files are the same ones as used in the working AG3 version. I opened the AG4 converted the ACT file, generated and edited the track table and the edited unknown car files in the consist/ car table. Train store is not being used but I am now using Bin 1.6.x What did I miss. The fun of releasing a new update!!! The new format works great and I like the capicity figures for the industries and siding in the work box. Thank you in advance. Peter -------------------- Peter

Peter, This is extremely puzzling! AG doesn't change any of the .wag files. If cars are reported missing in a generated activity but not the template that could mean there is an error in the folder names or some other syntax error in the generated activity. I haven't observed this before but anything is possible. Please clarify for me: did this happen when you tried to generate an activity in AG3, or is it only a problem with AG4? Do you still have the AG3 template? If so can you try and generate an activity from that template but using AG4 (so I can narrow down the problem)? But BEFORE YOU DO please send me your files with errors. Please email me direct at SteveDavis@skylinecomputing.com: 1. The latest full template. 2. The template .act file 3. An activity you generated that has errors init. I need to compare the two to try and figure out what's going on. Thanks, Steve

Steve, Thank you for your help. I used the new 4.1 convert an old 3.0 activity button to 4.1 and everything worked great. The only editing I had to do was edit the new cars shipped columns as all the old car wanted info converted over. The other feature I liked was the final destination work screen. I generated some point to point activitys with a prebuilt train and work at some yards on the path with a termination only end, it worked sweet. What expands the activitys is now "cars in' don't have to be "cars out" it forces you to think about what the industry realy needs and what it ships. When I finish the paperwork this will be an updated Newark & New Jersey , PRR template. Geat work. Peter -------------------- Peter
