I had a brief look at the new NC Piedmont Route. It appears to be complete enough for a template. Is anyone willing to have a go at it?

Nick,

While the route is rather complete there are quite a few un-named sidings and tracks, something that needs to be corrected before a template could be started.

I've diagrammed all but the last yard, and they are pretty good. But as you say, more of the sidings could be named.

If we can get permission from the route author, we can name the sidings and then build a template. If someone would like to contact the route author and get permission, then we can have a go at it.

I contacted Joe Bundy, the author of the route. He said it's fine if you want to name those sidings, but he wanted to point out that the unnamed sidings are never used by Norfolk Southern. Perhaps they should be given names with the prefix "Southern" and used for a 1979 template and a modern-day template that only uses the currently-named sidings.

Since permission has been obtained, is there someone who may be willing to work on a template for this? The reason I ask is that it would be very useful for a multiplayer session that is being organized for the route (set in the Southern 1979 era).

I am tied up with other projects, as is Pete. Maybe Denis can do it? I know that Denis knows how to add the track names.
