Have the Conrail/Indy 2 route. Activities made with MSTS Editor run fine. So far, all activities made with Activity Generator Ver 4.2.12 will not load and MSTS exits to the desktop with no indication why.

The activity can be made with AG fine with no problems. The consists generated all are correct, including loose consists with the correct rolling stock. However not a one will load. MSTS loads fine, Conrail Indy comes up fine. Select an act made with AG and after the loading bar is about @25% MSTS just exits to the desktop.

Any ideas on this? I use AG a lot on other routes with other templates with no problems.

Dave,

Try lowering the number of cars being added to the activity. Click the 'Set Railcar Fill' and set it so it doesn't add any railcars, generate an activity and see if it runs. If it runs, then adjust the number up some and try again. From past experience, if you add too many cars, the activity will crash.

Thanks Jim,
will get on that tomorrow. I am guilty of using max cars for more realistic yards etc.

Jim,
Tried the suggestion you gave me. Selected the shortest path, rest was all default AG. Same results, drops to desktop.

I am going to redownload the template and see if that will solve anything. Will let you know.

Jim,

I redownloaded the template, set the number of cars to the lowest possible, and otherwise the default act gen settings. Activity generates fine but MSTS will not load the act created by AG.

Dave,

Did you make sure that you have the right template for the correct route? I forgot that there were two templates in the list. The old one is version 10 and the newer one is version 16. If you got them mixed up, it would give you trouble like that.

Jim,
There is only one (updated 2008 ) template for Conrail/Indy 2 listed in the template section. That is the one I am using. I realize this is somewhat old but I do have all the rolling stock required and the route is correct also.

Oops, my mistake. I was working on an activity for the Monon and was thinking of that. One last thing. Did you try to create an activity without AI traffic?
