Proba Route, Oncoming Template Options

Hi to All,

I have started 2 weeks ago to work on a new template for the Proba route. The Proba route is a real life 57 km electrified route, located between Arad and Timisoara in Western Romania. I have been working with the MSTS Romanian Community (Blackrail.ro) to create a more realistic route template. News about the oncoming template was well received by the MSTS Romanian community and generated some questions about AG and its use; this was explained in their forum about how it works and what to know about AG. Victor Nencu aka Krupp, the Blackrail forum administrator, knows about AG. I was quite surprised to see that many of our Romanian users speak English. Both Blackrail.ro and Train-Sim,ro sites are English user friendly for those wishing to download some rolling material. In the readme file all downloads will each have its direct link to the files for easy download. Except for one, all downloads for the template come from both sites. At the same time, my written replies included translations ( with Google translation) in Romanian to our Romanian speaking users.

The template has about 85 serviceable sidings. It is in testing and should be ready in about a week or 10 days. Motive power includes electric and diesel engines.

Five templates will be part of the route including one which a 150hp diesel mechanical shunter will move engines around Arad's loco depot (see picture above). Using the LDH18 shunter may take some used to because gears are used, a little like the KIHA31 loco. To make this template possible, five of the engines were used to create, with Route Riter (RR), unpowered locos in order for AG and MSTS to recognize them as cars to be picked up. Originally, the engines were not detected by AG, thus the reason to have used RR and including the modified WAG files in the template package will not cause copyright issues, as confirmed by Krupp. Also included will be one template, which the player engine is a 1250hp LDH125 diesel, this one referred locally as a "donkey", will handle passenger cars in Arad, about the same principle with the previous Bernina Template in which passenger cars were handled there at St.Moritz.

Blackrail material are very detailed in content. The LDH 125 engines and the LDH18 shunter have around 25,000 polys. Congrats to the team for fine work.
