Central California Traction-circa Summer 1982, New template project Options

Hi to all,

Last month, I have started to plan a new project for the California Central Traction (CCT) route project during the pre-merger years. It took a while to find an appropriate timeframe, taking into consideration the availability of downloads for the appropriate timeframe, also the paint schemes, etc.... To accomodate the project, I have created some new engine renumbers from ATSF & WP, now available in the TS file library.

Initially, the timeframe was set in the late sixties, but changed it twice to have it finally set in the Summer of 1982, just a few months prior to the Western Pacific (WP) & Union Pacific (UP) Merger. During that era, the CCT, the Santa Fe and the Stockton Terminal & Eastern (ST&E) railroads were running along on the CCT route. The UP-WP merger has been approved a while ago and some UP engines started to mix with WP engines in Stockton. In 1982, Cabooses were being phased out of the railroad network. In this template project, cabooses are optional, not part of this package. You can add them yourself in the traffic consists or with your player engines.

Some work has been done to add sidings to the route to maximize its potential. There are 10 templates and about 110 serviceable sidings. Testing has started

Hi to all,

Testing is continuing and goes well. An 11th template has been created, bringing some cars to the CCT shops and retrieve some repaired cars, leaving them in one of the CCT Shop Yard sidings. Will try to have pics of this new project later.
