Hi to all,

I have started reworking the Clinton Sub Template for the Union Pacific. It is a completely new template. It has been started from zero. Some of you may remember that the former C&NW template for the Clinton Sub was done close to two years ago and was my 2nd or third template. This one moves us ahead in time to the end of the 90's. There will be major improvements to the previous one (Experience is paying off!).

There will be plenty of traffic along the main line and also along the CRANDIC region which will be served by CRANDIC Geeps, which traffic and engines were absent in the previous version. Traffic patterns and player paths were carefully selected before putting the first markers. The WB template is now finished and is being tested. I have already finished successfully my first AG generated activity from the Cedar Rapids yards to Beverly while meeting a small NB CRANDIC consist along the way which have left from the Beverly Area towards the Yards.

294 serviceable sidings for both EB and WB templates. Looks good so far. Regions will be much more organized than the older one. Maps will probably be done in this one despite the larger numbers expected in this one. On the previous template, the player engines were Dieselwest's C&NW SD40-2's. The main player engines for the oncoming template are the recently released Dieselswest's UP snoots and its bonus package. They are great looking engines and inspired me to start working on a new template. The number of downloads has been limited to 15 so far. The previous had about 14.

Here is my first screenshot of the newly released UP snoots on the Cedar Rapids bridge going WB

More updates later..

Enjoy

Hi everybody,

The UP Clinton route templates were finished earlier this week and are well into testing and goes very well. Here are some numbers about the package: 293 serviceable sidings, 16 different player paths, 21 AI trains composed of 16 different consists. Also 55 maps were made especially for the UP Clinton templates. They cover all the serviceable sidings, including their marker's orientation to help in work selection. Additional maps of some higher density regions were made with the industries and yards identified to facilitate their location. In no other of my templates I have put so much work into mapping a template route. See the following example among the screenshots included here to give you an example of the extra work done in addition to the regular screenshot made for mapping the sidings.

Hope to upload the package later this week.

Enjoy the pics

The engines (on the left) substituted on the last picture as the player consist shown here are the newly released SLI UP weathered GP60's. Great looking engines!

Hi to all,

The template package is now ready and has been sent to Steve for uploading. A new path had been added to cover local work inside the CRANDIC North and South regions destined for the CRANDIC South Yard or the Beverly Yards. In this one, the user will be able to use the CRANDIC Geeps as their player engines, which is already part of the rolling stock requirements.

Here's one last picture originated from the AG-generated CRANDIC local activity involving the Geeps.

Cheers and enjoy,
