I'm posting a request for a template  or templates for the Illinois Central route.

Which route?  Exactly what is its name?  I know about the Illinois Eastern and Illinois Northern, but where can I find this route?

Hi Norm,
This is David Klemm's IC route that is in the file library
at Train-Sim. It's an older route 02? I think.
Btw in the route folder there is a icon marked template
maker. You might want to check it out.
Hope you can do something for this route it's a nice
route well done. DG

I will check it out.  Hopefully the route is designed for operation, with all industry and yard tracks marked and named properly.

The Illinois Central route will go onto my list of routes for template creation.  I downloaded this route last night and took a look at it.  It appears that most of the tracks are labeled correctly, which would allow the creation of a template.

But I have a question:  What's up with the section of track that is disconnected south of the main portion of the route?  The milepost at the south end of the main portion is numbered in the 700's, whereas the disconnected portion is numbered in the 200's.  Anyway, I looked only at the main, northern trackage.

It has been a while since I began work on and then abandoned the template for the IC route. Recently, I have seen posts at Mophouse about a revision to the route, adding much needed scenery and connecting the north and south portions. If this route is released, then I will consider doing a template.
