However they are in the route folder. I do have what I think is the right files needed to run these acts. I have J Realmuto Friction 1.0, but I'm not sure if I have the right Physics V4.5 installed. You don't want to run the template from MSTS. What you do is start AG and generate an activity. That activity will show up in MSTS. Start MSTS, pick the route, and run the generated activity, not the template.

As Norm said you won't want to run the actual template activities. Open Activity Generator, then use that program to GENERATE activities, which you can name and then find them in MSTS.

It doesn't matter which version of Physics and Friction you have -- that will impact the way your locomotives and trains perform but Activity Generator will generate activities regardless.

I suggest you take a look at our video tutorial on the video tutorials page, or try this direct link: http://www.skylinecomputing.com/VideoTutor...Edit%20(2).html

If you continue to have trouble please let us know.

Thanks and sorry about the frustration,

Steve

Yes, the routes should show up on the screen where you select the route and activity. If they don't, my guess would be you didn't place the route folder in the correct location. Using Windows Explorer, you should check to make sure they are actually in the Routes folder. In the example I have listed below shows how the directory structure should look for Bob Wirth's Glorieta Pass providing you used the default name of the folder.

c:\program files _
_______________|_Microsoft Games
______________________________|_Train Simulator
____________________________________________|_Routes
___________________________________________________|_atsfgp

I abbreviated the amount of folders, but it should look like the list above.

Regards,

Jim

Thanks Jim. You are quite right, if you can't see the route in MSTS, not even the "Explore Route" option, it is either not installed correctly, or it has been stored using 'Train Store'.

I'm sure we can get this route working!

Best,

Steve

This is my route files, 3DTS_TEH2. atsfgp, atsfss, Cajon, D&H, E1, E2, J1, J2, KHPass2, LS&I, NiagaraCorridor, Sandpatch USA1, USA2, Willamette Pass. Did something go wrong on the install? I follow the readme to the letter. Are is the problem in my MSTS? I have nothing stored in TS. Thank again, Zeb.

From your list, it appears that you have the following routes installed on your machine (in addition to the six default routes):

Tehachapi Pass 2 (3DTS_TEH2)
Glorieta Pass (atsfgp)
Seligman Sub (freeware) (atsfss)
Cajon Pass (payware) (Cajon)
Bridge Line (D&H)
Kicking Horse Pass 2 (KHPass2)
Lake Superior & Ishpeming (LS&I)
Niagara Corridor (NiagaraCorridor)
Sandpatch (Sandpatch)
Cascade Crossing (Willamette Pass)

You don't have the routes for the templates that you listed in your first post. You should try installing a template for one of the routes that you have, and see how that goes.
