I recently replaced my C drive and copied the contents of my back-up to the new C drive. AG can not find my MSTS folder on the computer. The MSTS is on a different drive than the AG folder. I type in the path to the route and activity folders in the AG main opening screen. It says files not found (CSV file). However the file is in the folder.

Is there a way to give AG the correct path other than the Activity generator main opening screen?

The AG software may have been corrupted and I want to delete it and re-install. However I see no need to repurchase the software as I have the password for the original purchase. Is there a way to download simply the program without going through the purchase route? Using version 4.2.12

Before replacing C:\ the computer was configured the same and AG was working fine.

I found my original download. I installed AG in the C:\ drive along with MSTS. Both are now on the same drive. Every route I try to bring up a CVS file on with AG gives me the message "no file found". All the routes I have on C:\ do have current templates installed. The CVS files are present in the activity file. AG does not recognize or find them. This has never been a problem before I installed a new C drive. I have used AG for years.

Can anyone explain how to correct this problem??

Hello,

Normally, the AG window should appear like this when locating the template CSV files:

It is strange that the CSV files cannot be located on your side.

About AG and other MSTS third party apps, I usually install them in another folder away from MSTS.

In my case, I have c:\MSTS for MSTS routes and stock while I have put my third part apps on C:\MSTS_APPS.

Could it be the issue? Not sure here.

Hope this helps.

To add to Denis' post, you won't be able to use the drop down list if the locations of the program have changed. You would need to click the button 'Choose Activity (CSV) File' and then search the activities folder of the route you plan to use.
The drop down shows the activity CSV file, but does not show the location of the template CSV file.
If you were to open the SLG.ini file, in the SwitchlistGenerator folder, you would see the whole path. I don't recommend opening the file if you're not familiar with settings files.

Yes, I know what the window should look like. I have been using AG for many years. That is what the folder looks like in windows explorer, which shows the files are in there. However AG just is not seeing them. I have also tried installing AG in different locations but as it has worked for years simply in Program Files (x86) I see no reason to keep moving it around. I have a clean install now on C:\Program Files (X86) but still not working.
