I am trying to use the Activity Creator. The template loads fine, but when I select "Change Engine", The dialog box loads, reads the engines and tenders then just hangs. I have gone through the manual and haven't found any solutions.
Cheers, Alyn |

Hmmm . . . I have not seen this before. Perhaps Steve will have some insight. A few questions: Have you checked all your engines AND rolling stock with ConBuilder, BBoxEdit or Route-Riter? Have all errors discovered with these utilities been corrected? -------------------- Norman

Cheers, Alyn That's very unusual. Are you using the latest version of Activity Generator, which is version 3.1.1? If so, perhaps you have too much rolling stock for the program to handle. Could you try using TrainStore to store all but the route you're trying to run? Finally, what route are you seeing this problem on -- or is it all routes? Sorry I don't have a ready issue, this isn't a known issue, I've never seen it before. Thanks, Steve Davis -------------------- Steve Davis

Good day Steve,
I run train Store so there is usually a great reduction in rolling stock. I will further reduce the amount and see if this helps out. I will let you know what happens.... Alyn |

That really surprises me. If this doesn't help, then to fix this I'll need you to unstore everything, copy your whole \TRAINSET folder onto a CD, and send me the CD. Then I'll be able to go through this line by line and see where the problem is. Other than that is Activity Generator working ok? If so you could just do without the engine changing feature and use ConBuilder or the MSTS Activity Editor, or even Activity Master (easiest) since you said you had it, to change the player locomotives after you generate your activity. Thanks and sorry about the problems. --Steve -------------------- Steve Davis

All is working when I use the rolling stock with the Activity templates... I will slowly work through the trainset folder and see where the error is.
Thanks Steve. Alyn |
