Hi to all,
I've downloaded quite a few of the templates created here for the various routes and they are superb. It really opens up countless activities for lots of routes. A hearty "Thank You" to those who have developed these templates.
I have downloaded and run the activities provided for the Cleveland Union Terminal route. It is a fascinating route and I think it remarkable that the P-motor electrics were used for a relatively short distance between Collinwood and Linndale.
I am not particularly good at creating templates for routes and was wondering if someone was prepared to create a template for the CUT? I have done lots of research on the route and the type of trains that ran in the era of the box cab electrics. I realise that these were used for the passenger services through the terminal however I thought maybe a template could be created using the various freight lines for pickups and drop offs along the route and maybe the P-motors and freight trains could be worked in as AI traffic. Perhaps NYC Hudsons or NKP 4-6-4 steamers could be used as AI traffic as well as the electric locos.
I'd be very interested to hear from others and their ideas and would be very grateful if a template may be created.
Thank you for reading this.
Cheers from Down Under,
Damo

Hi Damo,

Glad you are enjoying some of the templates available. To your question in regards to the CUT, I have downloaded and checked the route itself. Unfortunately, none of the sidings are marked, so it will not be possible to create a template. Marked sidings are a critical element in template creation. In marked sidings, the template maker will be able to put markers inside such sidings, making them serviceable for AG to create activities using the marked sidings.

Let's hope the maker will consider marking them in a future version of the route.

All the best Damo and Cheers

Hi Denis,
Thank you so very much for your prompt reply. I didn't realise the sidings weren't marked and I can understand why its not possible to create a template. I'll have a bash at making some activities and see how they go.
Thanks again for your time and I look forward to any upcoming templates for any other routes.
Cheers,
Damo

Has anyone tried contacting the route creator to see if he would mark the sidings? Or to see if he would allow us to mark the sidings ourselves and to release the modified route files with an AG template?

Hi Norm,
I have sent a PM via Train-sim.com to Jim Duncan who did 0.9 version of the CUT to see if he can help with marking the sidings and I asked if he was the best guy to talk to or should we contact Todd Stoffer who originally created the route. Fingers crossed we may have a win.
Cheers,
Damo
