Hi to all,
I have just downloaded MLT's CN Bala Sub and am willing to make a template for it. Does anyone is currently working on this route? In the meantime, I will start running on activities to get familiar with the route. I no replies, I will start working on a template. -------------------- Denis Gionet

Hi again,
Just to say that I have started construction of the CN Bala Sub template. So far, the markers were set. Close to 100 serviceable sidings, most of the sidings are inside the MacMillin Yard. There should be three templates if as planned, One Northbound, Southbound and one exclusively within the MacMillin yard limits. AI traffic is expected along the route. More details later as the work progresses -------------------- Denis Gionet

Hi to all,
Here's some rundown on the template package. Most of the work is finished and testing has started. Due to the presence of only one yard in the entire route, paths are limited to only one for the SB, three for the NB, the difference lies in from which direction of the yard will the player negotiate and the third template, no path has been configured to allow the player train to go anywhere within the yard limits. The Macyard has about 70-75 sidings, so no problem finding work inside the yard. AI traffic is included on all three templates, the MacYard template has only two AI trains to add animation inside the yard. They wander in areas where no work is expected since there are no serviceable sidings in the areas where the AI will travel. The player train will be a wayfreight train, composed of the two GP9rm's and slug. That should be good for about 20-25 cars whatever going upward along the near 1% grade or going downward. Remember they have no dynamic braking, so you should not go over that limit when going downward and being to handle with regular braking system. Maps of all regions, including the MacYard have been screen captured including the markers orientation to help in work selection. Remember that some area of the route, especially in the MacYard will reduce noticeably your frame rates (FPS). You may have to lower down your graphic sliders to improve performance. I hope to have it released in about a week to 10 days from now, Time will tell. here are some pics of the route Enjoy -------------------- Denis Gionet

Are these not the player train? Maybe the CN disconnected the dynamics and left the fan and blisters??? -------------------- Norman

Hi Norm, Have rechecked the Geeps and no dynamics are present. I think it was the same with with the Niagara Corridor GP38's (numbers 4710 & 4718), as they were called in the package. The user could always change to SD40-2's for dynamics and would handle better and having a little more number of cars to haul. Cheers -------------------- Denis Gionet
