Hi Steve. This may sound like a bumb question but is there anyway to put an older templete and the new one together. The reason I am asking is there are paths , services and traffic that are not in the new one that I would like to use, or can I install the two one the one route. I keep seeing that you are to delete the old one before installing a new one. The route is Pokey. Thanks for your input. Greg.

It's not a dumb question, but there is no way to combine templates with a simple button push. You can however do this by editing the new template, using the techniques covered in the user's manual, and adding the paths etc. that you want (from the old template) into the new one.

Are you sure there are fewer paths or could some be stored by TrainStore? See http://www.skylinecomputing.com/issue_with..._trainstore.htm for a discussion of this known issue.

Next have you contacted Norm Beveridge about his Pokey template? You may be missing out on something that Norm can help you with or Norm might add paths back to the template if he deleted those. I know Norm is travling this week so he may not get back to you right away.

Thanks,

Steve

Further to this, I just heard from one of the template co-authors, Pete Mulvey, on this. Pete says he put 35 paths in this template and I covered every branch. Norm tested the template for about a week. So, are you seeing all 35 paths or has TrainStore stored some of them as per my comment above? Can you tell Pete and I what it is that's missing from the Pokey 4 template that you'd like to see?

Thanks!

Steve

Thanks for the reply. I guess I must have caused some confusion about the templates. There is nothing missing from the new template . I run all my routes in mini form so each one is separate. The only thing was there was some paths in activity generator 3 that I wanted in the generator 4 so as you said either go with what I had or make a new template. Well I put both templates on the one route and each have their own setup and don't interfere with one another so I am happy with what I got. Sorry for the delay on the reply but some things do come first. Thanks. Greg.

That's ok, but, we are still confused that there are paths in the AG3 version that weren't in the AG4 version because there were a LOT of paths in the AG4 version. Can you tell us which paths are in the AG3 version that are not in the AG4 version?

Thanks,

Steve

Good day Steve. I actually don't know if any are missing. All of the contents of AG3 folders were written for AG3. When I installed AG4 for the Pokey route nothing was overwritten so I would have to search all of the AG4 paths to see if the old paths are there. . I would sumise that they are and quite possibly extended or overwritten to a different path. I do know that there are a lot of new paths in AG4 that were not in AG3 which makes for great switching opportunities. Thanks again for your help. Greg.
