Monon-2 v8 is becoming an obsession. I fix one thing and another presents itself. Activities generated for this route show no work in F11. No work appears in the evaluation. AG generates a work order, places cars, and creates an activity. However the activity only lists the player consist and the loose consists, no action events. I thought it might be a Win7 64 problem but AG is working properly in all of the other routes I tested. So I thought maybe the route was installed wrong. I moved it to another drive and reinstalled following the instructions closely. The route works perfectly with no errors but the problem remains. I see nothing about anything like this when I search the forum so I must be the only one with this problem. What am I missing?

Doug It's actually a problem with the *.act file that was supplied with the template. In order for Activity Generator to work, it must be able to find one action event in the activity file. I have these files, but never installed them. While reviewing them today, I see that they are all missing a pickup event. Before making any changes to any file, make sure that you have a backup copy in case something goes wrong. If you know how to use the Activity Editor, open each one of the activities and create one pickup event and save the file. That should solve the problem. You should be able to generate activities. Thanks for the response, Jim. My adventures in the Activity Editor are limited but I learn a little bit each time. I'll give it a try and see what happens. At least it isn't something I did or didn't do and it is something that can be remedied.

I edited this without the activity editor by pasting in the section needed. If it works, I'll do the rest of them. Jim |

Unfortunately for me, my Activity Editor crashes whenever I open an activity. I suspect that it may be UAC related (I did not have UAC turned off when I installed msts). In any case, I am not going to go through a clean install to find out so I will be satisfied to run the activities AG generates for this route for the enjoyment of the switching and of the route. There is a lot to see in this route and being able to view the workorder on the screen or finding out if I missed a pick-up or drop are not going to send this to the bone yard. I will look forward to the release of a template for v9. Thanks for the help.

I thought of tackling the job with a text editor but I wasn't sure what I was doing. I can't thank you enough for your efforts. Doug |

Doug Doug, Glad to hear it worked. I have completed the balance of the template activity files. Here are all 6 activity files in this zip file. You should be able to make activities for all six templates now. Jim |

As the say, $1 for tapping the boiler and $299 for knowing where to tap. Doug |
