I am using the 3DTS Tehachapi II Template with the latest version of Activity Generator. An AI Grain Train pulled by 2 SD75s and a Dash 9 repeatedly passes the siding red signals and either blocks the main or crashes into the moving player train. This occurred at the lower end of Walong siding and the north end of Marcel. Any thoughts on this situation--never seen anything like this in any other MSTS activity (over 4 years). -------------------- Dave Peterson

Did you use AG to change all signals to permissive, and then forget to change them back? If so, then you need to be aware of the warnings about doing this and the possiblity of "runaway" AI trains. If not, then the problem will be in the route's signal scripts, not with the template or AG. I have seen standoffs in the Tehachapi route (and others), but never an AI train passing a signal in Tehachapi. In some routes where maybe the signals were not quite placed in the exact spot, I have seen the AI train stop PAST the signal, often in a position which blocks the player path. If the player train were rolling through as the AI train approached, in this case you could very well have a collision! -------------------- Norman

Thanks Norm, that is probably it--I did have the signals set to permissive. Since most of my previous AG endeavors did not include AI trains, never though it was an issue. I'll fix that one now. Thanks again, Dave -------------------- Dave Peterson

Dave, If that doesn't fix it, please let us know. -------------------- Norman
