This topic has been created as a pinned topic to which any of our contributors can post information about new Activity Generator templates that have been posted to the site, or fixes/updates to current templates. If you wish you can choose to "Track this topic", and if you turn on e-mail notification, you will be notified by email whenever a new template has been posted or a fix to an existing template has been posted.

To announce a new template that has been posted, or a template fix, just reply to this topic.

Please don't use this topic to discuss templates you are working on or plan to release etc. -- just discuss those anywhere in the templates forum.

The idea is our users can be kept up to date when new templates or template fixes are posted without having to check back on this site daily.

Enjoy!

Your host,

Steve

I have just posted a fix to the GN Hi-Line template that corrects an incorrect car type (CLMT) that caused errors in some generated activities. Thanks to Norm for catching and reporting this error! Get the new template here

There was a bad rolling stock file distributed with the GN HiLine template rolling stock package: gnsleeper.wag. The rolling package has been updated and fixed, however if you already downloaded this you don't have to download the whole thing again, I have posted this file to the site (as a .zip file) -- get it at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/gnsleeper.zip

Thanks,

Steve

A new template for AG4 for Maple Leaf Tracks' Rogers Pass route, featuring near-prototypical Canadian style operations by Canadian template author Moe Smith, has just been posted. This template uses rolling stock from MLT's Rogers Pass AND Kicking Horse Pass 2 routes, as well as some freeware downloads. Docs are included. Get the template on our templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/RogersPassMoe.zip

Norm Beveridge has updated two of his great templates for AG4: Cumberland (Louisville and Nashville) and the Niagara Corridor (Dundas Sub). If you installed the earlier templates you'll want to delete the old paths. Norm has included instructions for doing this with each of the templates. Find these templates on our Templates page, or download directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/Cumberland4.zip for the Cumberland template and http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/DundasDist.zip for the Niagara Corridor template.

Enjoy!

Pete Mulvey, with the assistance of Norm Beveridge, has created an up-to-date AG4 template for the freeware Full Bucket Line. Pete chose to model this as a UP line and there are some downloads required including one payware Diesels West locomotive. It's worth the purchase but if you don't want to buy it you can of course use ConBuilder or Activity Master to substitute something else. Download the template from our Templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/FBL3Template.zip

Norm has created another AG4 template for the Lehigh & Hudson River route (version 2). This one uses era-appropriate Eastern rolling stock (but as a result requires many downloads). A new AG4 template for the CSX Tallahassee Sub has been posted. This template is a Seaboard Air Line (SAL) version. This route was SAL before it was absorbed into CSX. It requires the same rolling stock packs as required for our SAL Florida Div route template. We have these available for download in complete pack form: use SALRSPK1.zip and SALRSPK2.ZIP (warning: these are large files). See SAL Route Page for more information.

Get this new template on our templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/...seeTemplate.zip

Thanks to Norm Beveridge for creating this template!

Enjoy,

Steve

Moe Smith has just created an AG4 template for the Milwaukee Road Rocky Mountain Division, version 2 (freeware available at www.train-sim.com). A nice change running the electrics of Milwaukee Road is in store for anyone using this template. There is a fair amount of switching for those inclined. This part of Montana is cattle country so expect a fair amount of cattle car pickups and setouts. Lots of AI traffic in either WB or EB. Get that template on our Templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/MilwaukeeRMD.zip

Thanks, Moe, for contributing this!

A new template has been created for Maple Leaf Tracks' "Michigan Iron Ore." This template is a first contribution from new user Eric Anderson. The LS&I is a short line, yet has six-axle units and a small segment of CTC. It hauls only iron ore, yet the trains can max out at 7000 tons. And it's just plain fun to run. Here's what you need: the MLT Michigan Iron Ore route (of course), Activity Generator 4, and the latest version of MSTS Bin (for cab switching, front coupler work and other enhancements). A handy tool to have is Rob Weststrate's LS&I maps, available at Train-sim.com - search for lsi_map.zip. Since no extra rolling stock downloads are needed, you can run these templates right out of the box, so to speak.

You can download this from our Templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/LSITemplate.zip

THANKS, Eric, for your contribution!

Enjoy,

Steve

Denis Gionet has created a new template for the Australian Adelaide Route. The Adelaide, Hills & South East route is located in Southern Australia, which is known as the driest state in the driest continent on the planet. This 1950's route covers the entire metropolitan area of Adelaide and a number of branch lines: over 600 miles of main line. It is considered an absolute masterpiece and is worth downloading and running. It can be downloaded as a single self-install file (350MB) or as separate files at the following link:

http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/trainsim/routes/sar_adlv2.html ://http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/tra...sar_adlv2.html

Denis has been able to test most areas and it looks OK. Although he feels confident the template is fit to be released as is, he has decided to release it as a Beta version to allow users to report any problems whatsoever for a while. Please report those in the forum.

You can download this template on our Templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/..._SETemplate.zip

Enjoy!

Norm Beveridge has updated his template for the Pittsburgh and West Virginia (PWV) route for AG4. Users should note that the new AG4 template uses the new NS rolling stock downloads, plus other downloads, and does NOT use the same rolling stock as the previous template. A list of download files is included in the documentation. The route folder name is the same as the previous template. Get the update on our templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/PWVAG4Template.zip

As he has promised, Denis has updated his Burton-Derby template, and that update has now been posted. And what an update it is: 5 templates, 36 paths and 890 sidings. Actually there has been 125 new sidings adding to the previous pack, 40 more than expected.

You can download this from our Templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/...%20template.zip

Enjoy!

Thanks for pointing this out. I just checked and these aren't included. I have contacted the template author Jim Meindl to see if I should use the same consists as he used with his previous template for this route for AG3, or, if I need new consists. Once I find out I will re-post the template.

Thanks,

Norm Beveridge has just created an AG4 template for Shawn Becher's Wenatchee and Cashmere Route. This route is only about 10 miles long but is chock full of switching opportunities. A rolling stock list is included, listing downloads from either Shawn’s web site and from the t-s file library. Get the template on our Templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/WandCTemplate.zip

Thanks, Norm!

Denis Gionet has created a template for another great Australian route, the North Illawara 2. Located in the Australian state of New South Wales (NSW), the 85 km (53 miles) route is a recreation of the Northern Illawarra Region line from Sydney to Wollongong with sections along the ocean as it existed in the 1950s-60s. Along the route are many collieries, located between Wollongong and Waterfall, making coal the main carrier along the route. The route also carries other goods as well. It includes part of Sydney, the Botany lines area as well as the Rozelle Bay wharf and the Darling Harbour where exchange of goods will keep you quite busy in your tasks.

You can get the template on our Templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/...ra2Template.zip

Read about this route at http://steam4me.railpage.org.au/trainsim/routes/ni2.html

Thanks Denis!

Enjoy,

Steve

Denis Gionet has posted a major update to his template for the Australian freeware route, Illawara 2. Half of the rolling stock have been changed. Completely new paths and reduction in the number of sidings used to reflect the true realism in the early sixties. Approximately 50 sidings that were marked are not serviceable in true life. Many of the sidings were part of some privately-owned collieries which had their own locos to operate within their limits.

You can read more about this template and download it on our templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/...ra2Template.zip

Enjoy! Thanks Denis!

Jim,
Nice package and documentation, I love switching and I can't wait to install your template. From day one I have always wanted to work down the end of the branch and bang out some cars at Kalispell.

Thank you,
Peter

Norm Beveridge has just released a new AG4 template for Richard Shirey's Lehigh & Hudson River (L&HR) Route Version 3. The rolling stock is region and era specific, and is mostly that used in the previous LHR2X template. A rolling stock list is included. The new route is not compatible with older versions, nor is this template compatible with older versions. Any older route and template should be uninstalled prior to installation of this template.

Get the template on our templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/LHR3TEMPLATE.ZIP

Pete Mulvey has just created a new AG4 template for the freeware Allegheny Rail Route. Get it on our templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/AlleghenyRail.zip

You'll need to unzip this to any place of your choosing, then manually copy each folder into the appropriate folder within Train Simulator. So copy the \CONSISTS folder into \TRAINS and copy the other folders into the route's "home" folder.

Enjoy!

Norm inadvertantly left one rolling stock item off of his "Required Rolling Stock" list for his Allegheny template, and we have now reposted the template with the fix. You can download the full new template, with the correction, off our templates page, or get it at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/...p;OTemplate.zip

OR, just get the updated rolling stock list: Attached File  Allegheny_B_O_Rollingstock.txt ( 166.04K ) Number of downloads: 920

Denis Gionet, the author of the Quebec-Charelvoix Template, has issued an important update to that template. Dennis says:
QUOTE
During use of AG, I have noticed some of the activities could not be generated by AG. This was probably because the regions were not geographically set in an orderly manner(screenshot included of the message).

I have decided to have a better representation of the region, more detailed and in sequential geographical order. Changes to the TDB and the PRO files were made and will greatly improve the use of the templates. I guess experience gathered since last year has helped finding the problem. It took some time to find out the culprit.

You can download the updated template on our Templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/QCTemplate.zip

Thanks Denis for bringing us this update!

Denis Gionet has just created a template for the Utah Potash Route. The Potash route is 35.77 miles of undulating railway. It comes off the the Utah desert mainline at Brendel, UT (Crescent) , and follows US 191 south towards Moab (Potash). A few miles north of town, the line veers west through the 7050-foot Bootlegger Tunnel, where it continues about five more miles down the Colorado River canyon to Potash. The line runs on rather flat land until you get down past about MP 20 - that's where the scenery really starts to dwarf the train. Get this template on our Templates page or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/...%20Template.zip

Pete Mulvey has just created one of the larger templates we've ever posted, with as many regions to work as AG4 can currently handle! It is for the Monon-2 freeware route, available at www.train-sim.com Pete also included rolling stock and documentations in his easy to install template (EVERYTHING can be installed just by unzipping to your \Microsoft Games folder -- see the included documentation.

You can download this template on our Templates page, or jump directly to it at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/Monon.zip

A little advance warning: because of the included rolling stock, it is a very large download, over 100 MB.

Thanks Pete! Enjoy, all.

Eric Anderson has updated his Lake Superior and Ispeming (LS&I) template. Eric made some path file fixes (some characters were missing from the path names), made a few minor tweaks to the TDB file and slightly updated the readme's. So fans of this route should be able to generate even better activities. Thanks Eric! Get the update on our Templates page, or directly at http://www.skylinecomputing.com/downloads/LSI_Template.zip

Enjoy!
