Other than the XXXXXXX.act-file in the specific route's Activities-folder which other files need to be checked without having to use any other programs and which can be removed without getting that MESSAGE we all LOVE.
So which files and where can one delete. ( I say this very softly)

Thank you

You can usually delete the activity files w/o problems. Other files can cause problems. For instance if you delete rolling stock, if that rolling stock is used in some other consist then when you delete it you will get lots of errors when you start MSTS.

If you'll tell me more about what you are trying to delete and why I can give you better guidance. My best advice is to use TrainStore. That way when you store an activity it will automatically search for all files (consists, rolling stock, paths, traffic, services, etc. etc.) that are used in that activity, and store those, IF they are not used in other, unstored activities. TrainStore has the built in "intelligence" to identify all of the files related to a given activity.

I know of no "safe" way to delete traffic files, consists, rolling stock, or services because it is nearly impossible to check every activity and make sure that those are not used in any other activity.

Thanks,

Steve
