Norman,
Is there any way to move the start point for the AI trains off of the Parker yard, north yard lead?
With the AI starting on the yard lead it's hard to work a train from that end of the yard. When switching the cement tracks the AI sets up switch off of the lead for the B&O main and when you approach the switch from the yard to make your moves the points stick and you have to pull through the points that are set against you. The result is a broken coupler or a sudden increase in speed running the train off the end of the track unless you are super quick on the break.

Whow did I jump when I was working at the end of the yard and out of the blue suddenly there was a train directly in front of meon the yard lead in the direction it was going.

In general I love the AI trains they look great and work well. There are a few areas heading north on the B&LE north template where the will not clear a red or in one case you have a green and the AI appears comming at you on the single track. In these cases I think its a route signal probelm not a template bug.

I can see by the route layout it's hard to fine a place for the B&O AI trains to start at Parker there should be another cross over after the station that way all the AI trains could start up the valley out of sight.

The other option I have would be to generate the switch list when working Parker with no AI trains but I would miss out on all the eye candy.

Thanks.
Peter

I'll put this on my list. AI trains are indeed nice eye candy, but with an open ended activity such as you will get with AG from a template, you cannot always get the AI trains to be where you want them.

With the B&LE template, the timing of the AI trains is very difficult on this route. Sometimes the AI trains run fast, sometimes slow. All other things are equal, so I can't figure out why this happens. I thought I had moved the time back enough to get it right. This just goes to show that you can't do enough testing. If this is chronic, then I can make a further adjustment.

Norman,
The timing on you AI trains was great, I never had to wait more than 5 min to meet an on comming train AI at a passing siding and some times they were waiting for me. The trains I have been operating are around 15 cars and with two SWs on the head end so my track speed is under the posted track speed.
So I would not change the timing.

Thanks

Peter
