Skyline User's Forum _ Templates _ Boston And Maine Western Divison Version 3

Posted by: xpdingo Jun 21 2013, 03:12 PM

After talking with Jim who did the version 2 template he told me he was going to Pass on this template.

I will make the template for Version 3. I will start by placing siding markers and names on all the sidings that were left unmarked.

Rick Franzosa of Valley Pass will develope a Engine and rolling stock set for this route and it will be used in the template.

I have contacted the author of the route and asked his permission to mark the sidings. He wrote back and told me he would have to refuse my request because the conditions were not met when version 2 was posted here. The condition was "The only thing I ask is that you identify the route as mine". I know Jim to be a honest man and I am sure this was a oversite.

The route Boston and Maine is the work on Paul Raynes and nobody else.

I just re-downloaded the V2 AG files, and there are 4 - text files included (Readme's). Each one indicates and mentions Paul Raynes as the author of the route. One is a copy of his permission letter, and one makes "Special Thanks" to Paul Raynes. What else can one do to acknowledge the authorship? Perhaps you should suggest to Paul that he reread the AG texts. I am sure no disrespect was intended.

Maybe I'm wrong but I believe he wanted the template page to read B&M3 By Paul Raynes like Denis did with his WAG route.
