Greetings to the Group - I am new to activity creating, so I just wanted to see if anyone had any templates for the following routes.
Cascade & North Western Sumpter Valley Lehigh Valley by Werner Mueller NS Atlanta Macon Cape Cod Austral Bay UP Clinton Sub I have a few Colorado routes but am still trying to decide which ones to keep. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Jim in the PI -------------------- Long live the Santa Fe Chief!

At one time I started a template for NS A&M, but soon discovered that the route designer had not built the sidings in a way that they could be used for switching activities. Consequently, I stopped work. I see that just recently NS A&M v. 3 had been released. I may download it and see if the industry track issue has been fixed, and then make a template. As for the other routes mentioned, I have heard of the UP Clinton Sub and the LV, but the others??? If you feel strongly about any of these, then (1) you could create your own template and share it with the MSTS community on this web site, or (2) maybe you could check out the route and then either Steve or I will build a template. The track sidings must have the markers spread so that the length of the siding can hold cars (many route designers simply mark the track and it ends up with a length of 1 meter). You can see these markers in either AE or RE. Also, a schematic map, similar to those done by Craig Kawahara, would be really helpful for template creation. Please advise. -------------------- Norman

Hey Norm - I did find some activities on the UP Clinton Sub and the Lehigh Valley, which I will try to work with. There was also one in the library for the ADf&R (Robert Reedy). I wonder if that will work for the Cn&W as well? I might have enough for now to keep me busy. I will watch for the NS A&M report.
Thanks Jim in the PI -------------------- Long live the Santa Fe Chief!

Sorry to report that the new NS A&M has the same flaws in the industry tracks as the original. The designer did not include contact information in the route, so I cannot ask for corrections. No template possible.

Hi Norm,
Do you think that the recently available Northwest Line 2.00 can have a template? Despite some unnamed sidings in the route, I bellieve it might be an interesting route with 3 rail lines (CP,CN and BNSF) and many yards to build a template. Thanks for considering Denis -------------------- Denis Gionet

I will certainly consider the new NW route. I also have several other projects underway, but don't know when or which will be finished first. Don't hold your breath!
