To Mr Gionet.... Having trouble with the eastbound template - made act(twice), and on startup received this message -
BR_exGER_5Plank_Empty (uid: 200698) placement at start point of path "BD1EB Template Belper to Nottingham" failed and locks up after saying "OK". Sounds like a car over-running a siding?? Ted |

Hello Ted,
I will reload the route and the template to look into the issue. Can you give some details about the activity in which you had the message? Will start looking into the template for some flaws. -------------------- Denis Gionet

I have been making and running a lot of the BD acts, and this is the only template that is giving me trouble - twice - same car, same place.
Act I made was standard - 25 cars Belper to Nottingham, Summer running, changed engines and added guard van, populated siding to max of 12. Loaded through Train Store and got to screen "setting up world and space etc. and get the message popup. When I click the OK button, screen goes blank and Train Sim freezes. Have to reboot to clear - Alt-Ct-Delete doesnt work Ted |

Hello Ted,
I have been able to recreate the act and had two different results. The first flawed-about the same message as yours- but the second was successful. Reducing the graphic sliders made the trick on the second attempt. When I re-loaded the route and template a while ago, it took three attempts to load one act. Each time I had to reduce the graphic settings and the third time it was OK. The BD TDB file is huge, the route ACT file is loaded as well (+750 consists) and can take some resources from a PC if your graphic settings are too high. When building the template, at the time I have reached a limit in MSTS in handling loose consists and couldn't load the ACT file, had to scrap about 30 consists to save it. Having a loaded ACT file near the MSTS limits requires a good computer to handle it. With so many sidings to fill, it can cause MSTS to crash. Can you reproduce the act with lower graphic settings and let me know about the results. Thanks -------------------- Denis Gionet

Thanks Denis: made new act- lowered the slider to #3, cars on all sidings and max of 12, and it started ok - saved and restarted and it's good to go Thanks so much - never thought of the slider. I have a pretty good graphics card and 2.8 gig + 2 gigs ram so, dont usually have too many problems. Will remember the slider in the future Thanx Ted |
