I am working with Randy Carnley on the new KCS Speedway route in order to upgrade the track markers and names for Activity Generator and all activities. I'll report back my progress on the upgrade, and then on the subsequent AG template.

The first update to the route is posted at the trainsim file library. This update adds track names and markers, which make it possible for MSTS to recognize pick up and set out events. Without this an AG template for the KCS Meridian Speedway route is not possible.

This route still needs a bit of scenery in certain locations, so the next update will include these features. After that, I'll start creating the AG template.

I am making good progress on the scenery updates. But my work schedule is VERY heavy right now, so don't hold your breath.

I sent the scenery upgrade to the trainsim file library tonight. Hopefully you will find it there in the next day or two. Now, on to the AG template!

The route as released has a lot of docs, however I have created my own version. Since the route really does not need it, anyone who would like to have a copy, please email me , and Ill send a copy via reply.

Craig,

The track maps included with the route are incomplete, and do not include all the track names which were added in the route update. If your schematic includes those track names, plus all the locations not on the original maps, then I suggest that your schematic would be most valuable and should be posted for general consumption.

I have sent the AG template to Steve. He will post it soon. You will notice several activities posted at the trainsim file library. Enjoy!

This is a modern era template, based on Randell's design of the route. Any interest in an older era?

I have enough information on the route from Randell in order to make an older era template. I will begin looking for the appropriate rolling stock. Currently the difficulty is that the ICG locos I wanted to use are no longer available.

Benny,

The signals on this route do not work. I am working scenery upgrades (plus track names, etc.) and eventually hope to try to fix the signals. If I can fix the signals, then I will update the template to add more AI traffic.
