Hi to all,
Following thew release of Australia's Illawara template, Brian Beere-Streeter, the creator of the Illawara route, has written me indicating some recommendations in order to bring a more realistic profile of the area. He has considerable knowledge of the rail operations in Illawara territory. He had given me some very precious and precise details to bring the template to a high level of realism I don't believe I have done in previous templates and in respect to our Australian users who enjoys train simming in the most realistic way possible among their routes. This update is a major one. There will be major changes in rolling stock, arrangement of consists, and even the choice of paths to bring new ones that were in real life in the early 60's. Also there will be a reduction of the serviceable sidings since some marked sidings were not used for pickup and setouts of goods. Work has already started and Brian has provided some details already and is expected to continue providing some details to help with the update. Will update later -------------------- Denis Gionet

Hi to all,
The Illawara 2 template has been sent to Steve for uploading. Half of the rolling stock has been changed, completely new paths were created and some marked sidings were eliminated because some were part of privately-owned collieries that had their own locos to handle their cars within their limits. So the number of sidings has been lowered to 275 from the previous 325. Thanks again to Brian Bere Streeter for a much appreciated help in bringing to our fellow Australian users the realism they deserve to have and enjoy this template. -------------------- Denis Gionet
