Paul Charland has released his new route, the ACN. Paul asked me to create a template for this route during beta testing, which I did. It is now ready to go, and I will send it to Steve this evening. Hopefully he will post it soon.

Norm,
Great template and route. For operators like my self that don't have a love for operating steam I found a great loco to replace the player engine. On TrainSim there is a ALCO HH660 NYC / BA set "hh660_ny.zip" that fit the early time frame for the route. Just an FYI for there is a killer Bounding Box error on the PFE car that will derail a passing train, You will have to manualy change the settings in BB Edit as it won't fix the problem. You can also exchange it with another car. Peter -------------------- Peter

My practice and recommendation to all users of MSTS is that you should check ALL rolling stock and locos, before using it in the sim, (1) for bounding box errors, (2) with ConBuilder to find missing files, and (3) with RouteRiter to set up brakes, couplers, etc. THIS SHOULD BE DONE FOR ALL STOCK, BOTH FREEWARE AND PAYWARE. Payware is getting better, but I still find many errors. And, yes, there are some bounding box errors which BBoxEdit will not fix. But it does highlight the error, and you can adjust manually. Many "problems" with our templates are actually problems with rolling stock which the users needed to fix. -------------------- Norman

Norm,
Thanks for the reply. I had one other question on the route. Is the reason you did not use NYC yard tracks 1-4 in the template is because the markers were not spread out like we like to see in a template, I noticed that a lot of Paul's markers make it hard to set a car in the correct location due to the tight or non-existant space between them. Do you know if Paul is intending to change the markers to make the route template friendly? As for my self I'm doing what you recomended in your read me that if I know I have done the work than I don't have to have the computer tell me the job is complete. Peter Steve could you edit out the two extra replys between this one and Norms responce, FAT finger problem. -------------------- Peter
