Hi to all,
Today was released the beta version of the whitefish 9 route and was able to downoad the route. One of the reasons why the WF earlier versions were never considered for a template was the absence of many marked sidings including the Bonners Ferry area. I have asked, a few weeks ago in the TS forum, which announced the oncoming WF9 route, if all sidings could be marked to be used for AG. My hopes have been answered. This time, checking the route revealed most of the sidings marked, only some exceptions but not enough to withdraw from building a template. I would like to volunteer for this one. I would like to say thanks to the WF9 team for such a welcoming change. It has the liking of the recently released NWL3 template with four lines, the BNSF, UP, POVA and GN lines. I will start working on that one. Let me know if someone else has started this one. Cheers -------------------- Denis Gionet

I am sure that this one will be popular, since the earliest versions of this route certainly are!!! I look forward to operating from your WF9 template. -------------------- Norman

Hi to all,
Following some additional information provided today by Oldiedaddy on the German forum to a request for the route. I may suggest waiting for Whitefish 10 before making any template. As mentioned in my earlier post , most of the Whitefish 9 route sidings have been finally marked and estimated a good candidate for any template. However, I found in some smaller areas that most of the sidings in such areas are unmarked, notably among the POVA line and also in the new section around Somers and along the old GN line through the Haskell Pass. I thought initially that there would be an updated WF9 route. Instead, the reply from Oldiedaddy regarding my request to have the remaining sidings marked was well received and that such change will be done in WF10, which would appear to be already in the works. Does that mean there would not be a Official WF9 release? I do not know. WF9 is estimated to be a good template project with about 100-150 sidings, but the idea of re-doing the WF10 with all the sidings not that long after is subject to reflection. If someone wishes to work WF9, no problem with me, but I believe waiting for WF10 with all marked sidings would be the best choice as of now. Of course, this position may change with the coming days or weeks depending where the WF project progresses. In the Meantime, here are some additional shots taken along the route's BNSF line going West. Cheers -------------------- Denis Gionet

Oldiedaddy usually makes good on his promises. Keep us posted on his progress. We look forward to your WF10 template. -------------------- Norman

Hi to all,
I have taken some time to look at the German Train-de forum about the Whitefish project and used Google translation to examine some of the German posts. According to one of the forum's posts by Oldiedaddy, dated on December 19th, which announced the release of WF9 the next day , it is unlikely that there will be an official Whitefish 9 coming. According to the post, Whitefish 10 is expected to be released in the next coming weeks. Good news for WF users and good news for an oncoming template for WF10. Cheers -------------------- Denis Gionet
