Hi to all,

A few years ago, Eric Olesen, from TrainSim, has created the Illinois Railway Museum (IRM) route. Originally, the route had no sidings to create a template. Recently, I have created sidings and named them, using the IRM maps from the official site and the one included with the route. Today, Eric gave me the go ahead with the project. The modified TDB and WORLD files will be sent to Eric so he can update his route with these TDB and WORLD changes.

I have posted some shots in the TrainSim site if you want to have a quick look at the project. It will be a switcher's paradise.

The project is well underway and is getting closer and closer to completion.

Will bring more details as it advances

Hi to all,

The Illinois Railway Museum (IRM) is now complete and the readme file is nearly done as well.

Since it is a railway museum, a high number of downloads is expected. I tried to have the rolling stock as diversified as possible while at the same time keeping the downloads as low as possible. 42 downloads are required from Trainsim and three payware from BLW/ZT. They are the Buffalo mega pack, the Conrail EMD and the CNW packages. Many of the engines were made unpowered (WAG) to allow them to be switched while others have been downloaded to be part of the showcase, such as, for example, the UP GTEL, DD40X and steam engines (see last picture)

Here are some shots captured during testing of the project.

It will be important to read the readme file for some detailed instructions to run correctly the template, about the route installation and also on running the templates.

More later

Hi to all,

Just to confirm the IRM route template is now available.

Those who wish to have it can E-mail me at photoman_57 at hotmail dot ca

There are many downloads required, so make sure all of them are properly installed.

Let me know if issues with the package. I will wait for replies before uploading to the templates page.

If you are to download the route in the future (at digitailrails.com), make sure the route has its sidings marked. If not, follow the instructions for installing the modified TDB and WORLD files.

Here is the image that is expected to appear in the templates page, once uploaded.

Once again, thanks to Eric Olesen for allowing me to add sidings to the route to allow some great switching. Much appreciated.
