Template for Canton route wants a K type car on Jefferson Engine Shops 1 & 2. What type of car is this? It is not listed in the cartypes.csv. Should I just edit in another type?

Doug I do not have this route so I can't look at the Engine Shops to see what car I would put there. You can edit the SWLTDB*.csv file to some other car type for those two sidings. Just make sure that the car type you insert is one that is already listed such as 'T' or 'G' or whatever listed might fit for the Engine Shops. Jim |

I thought of that but wasn't sure if I had to change any other files. I haven't had a chance to experiment to see if deselecting those tracks when generating an activity would prevent the error. I'll just make the change to the SWLTDB. Thanks.

I'll just make the change to the SWLTDB. Thanks. Doug I do believe it would work if you don't select those sidings. I have, in the past, encountered this error after generating a few activities. It always did happen when I selected a siding that was calling for the missing car type. I don't recall if it happened when AG was trying to fill the world with random cars though. This could really be handled two ways. Either edit the SWLTDB to remove the car type or edit the SWLACT file to include that car type. Both ways would work. If you know how to work with AG, the Activity Editor and *.csv files, you could even add a car to the world for that car type. At a minimum, I would edit the SWLACT to remove that car type. That guarantees the error won't stop your activity creation. Jim |
