An activity from the above template for the Saluda Route has a path error. RouteRiter gives it as :

Path Name=SALUDA_SOUYARDSTemplate Asheville to Asheville.pat Path is missing from SALUDA_SOUYARDSTemplate.act

Same path comes up in error in the Activity Error.

The authors name and e-mail link are located on the template page.

Instead of posting an error in a public forum maybe contacting the author would be a more polite way to handle it.

Excuse me, but I have tried on that link, and it continues to come back as mail delivery aborted, hence the reason for posting here.

Hello Glenn and Pete,

Just noticed the message this morning. I will take the time to check it out and get back as soon as possible with the results.

I believe that my e-mail, at the time of its creation, was different since it ends now with dot ca and not dot com

Thanks

Hi again,

Checked all template activities on Route Riter and generated no warnings and have been able to generate and run the generated activity in Asheville (YARDS)

Any additional details about the message?

Thanks

Hi Denis:

Route_Riter is a great utility but sometimes it gives false reports. When I finished the original PRR template I passed the entire mini route to both you and Benny for testing. All of us ran it through RR and all of us got different results. This should be impossible but it happens. I'm sure the guy got the report he said but you can't rely on it to be true.

I have the new PRR template completed and I am spending some time testing it (having fun). After testing I will pass it to Steve for posting. I have a template request from one of the members here for the surfliner 2 route. This will be my last template. Besides being 72 with health issues I have I am building my first route and I bit off a LOT. I figure it will take me another 3 years to complete.

Denis, no problem. My post said that the path file named was missing. This came up initially with MSTS everytime.
I then went and opened the Activity Editor, and received the same message.
I then ran the activity through RouteRiter and got the same thing. It was RR's report that I chose to post.

I looked at the path name in the various folders, and found nothing wrong there.
I tried several more times, and it suddenly loaded okay, no path missing! Hmmm.
After generating couple of activities, it suddenly went back to giving me the missing path statement.

I opened the activity editor again, ignored the missing path statement, and opened the path in the editor.
The only thing I could see was that the Start and End path marks were on or very slightly overlapped the siding markers.
I moved the Start and End points to inside the siding markers.

I have now generated 8 more activities without the path coming up as missing. Not sure why tat seemed to fix it, but I'm not complaining.
