Upgrading the Burton-Derby Template Options

Hi to all,

Who would have imagined upgrading such a huge template? Following some work in helping Craig Kawahara on his oncoming and massive Burton-Derby map (anticipate this huge map), I have taken a look about trying to find a way to complete the missing sidings because of MSTS limits that prevented me to go over 765 sidings in trying to complete the BD Template. Well, it is coming.

As many know, there are four templates included in the package, the SB,NB,WB and EB templates. There will be a fifth template to include only the SouthWestern part of the route including The Woodville, Swandlicote, Donisthorpe and Measham areas that were omitted because of such limitations. That means I will be rebuilding from scratch the ACT file which will add 2 additional downloads in the whole template. The 2 downloads from UKtrainsim include some latest improvements for the BD Wagons and sound files which go with the improved stock.

The SW template should go from Ashby to Burton (included) and go west to Alrewas and Elford. It will include the whole Gresley, Woodville and Swadlincote area and include the Measham to Moira line. It is estimated that it will have around 200 sidings. That will allow the estimated missing 85 sidings to complete the template to around 850 sidings in the BD template.

The template will also be upgraded with a few additional paths for the existing templates.

Hi to all,

The updated template is now ready, has been tested and has been sent to Steve for uploading. There has been a lot more new sidings than estimated. Here are the new numbers to go with the new package: 5 templates, 36 paths and 890 sidings.
