Hi to everyone,
I have been away for quite a while. Over 2 1/2 years ago I was hit by a nasty PC virus that just about ruined everything in my PC and external HD. At that time my son was dealing with heart and kidney failure and Train Sim seemed unimportant. He is now waiting for a heart and kidney transplant.
I didn't know my 2014 PRR Template was no longer in the Template list. The PRR Template was the only thing I didn't lose because I had it stored on an online storage site. I also received a copy from Harlen in this forum.
For those who are unfamiliar with PRR Eastern route it is the largest route ever made. It took 10 men 6 years to create. It has 4500 miles of track, 2400 sidings, 87 yards and covers 3 Divisions and 5 Railroads (PRR-B&O-CNJ-LV-RDG).
I want to add to the Template Package with some new ideas I have come up with before I repost it. It now has 115 templates and I want to add 5 to 10 more. Right now it has very large files, Activities (.act, .Pro, .ctp, .cvs and .tdb)-576, Consists-171, Traffic-121, Paths-336 and Services-786.
When ready I will send a screen shot and a link for downloading it. It will be a complete Mini-Route with everything except the Valley Pass Payware. You will need the PRR 1950 set, the PRR#3 set and the Troop set.

Thanks for the update Pete.

Quite some large numbers here. Did some exploring on the PRR recently. With OR now, running the PRR will be more performant and stable than during the MSTS only era.

Thanks again for your efforts

Check out TS.com....Vince is updating the PRR ER to correct track in at least one area, maybe more, which will probably negate existing activities. He is also removing phantom switches. There is a dedicated forum for his efforts. His update will use the fix06 version of the public beta.

Thanks Craig,
I sent a PM to Vince to see how this will effect my Template. I posted the template as a mini route to avoid any problems. I have the route as it was sent to me from the developers as it was being created. I seems many people are getting different version when they install it.
I have never has any problems running it. At 75 years old starting over is a nightmare.

Hi Pete.

I've prepped myself with a clean installation of the PRR ER Fix 06 cuz' from the forum post, the TDB has changed. Just an info in case you do not have it, the public beta PRRFIX06 (with tdb dated 02/11/2011 48,241 KB) is also known as beta 16 for the cd version, if my info is correct. This is based on the readme files files found in the downloads of PRR ER at TS.com. The forum post states that prrfix07 (tbd dated 07/14/2012, 47,919 KB) will not work with Vince's rebuild.

By-the-by, it's good to see the some familiar names posting here.

Pete, it's good to see you back here. I have appreciated your prior contributions greatly and very much enjoyed working on the PRR set to power your template.

Hi Christopher:

Sorry for the late reply, life's been crazy. I want to thank you and Valley Pass for what you have contributed to all these templates.

There is an update for the PRR Eastern being worked on that will correct a lot of errors on the route. It will update the route from fix6. Fix7 caused errors and is no longer available. This too is possibly being worked on in the future.

Once the update is released I will update the template with all the changes. This will require redoing a lot of the template package but it will improve everything.

The same rolling stock will be used and the same Valley Pass sets will be required.

Thanks again,

Pete
