CSX W&A sub, Siding markers and such Options

Hi all,
I am in the process of modifying my copy of this route( for my own personal use) in order to create a template...but I have a couple of questions concerning some RE mods. The majority of siding markers on this route are in need of "stretching" and I am rolling along nicely on these. There are a few industrial spurs that have no markers at all on them, but I believe this is easily taken care of !?!? This will not corrupt the tdb. file, correct? I also noticed that many of the passing sidings have markers that are also "unstretched", is it necessary to have the markers go from one end of the siding to the other, for the templates sake I mean?? Any guidance on this effort is appreciated....
