Have done the SB from Mactier to have work in the same sidings as the previous. Have been successfull at Midhurst and Utopia. Unfortunately, I have collided North of Ypres. Luckily the act was saved at Essa. Reloaded the act, let the NB pass and was able to do my work at Utopia and resumed my run after. Again, back and forth movement will push an oncoming train within the circuit if he is waiting for you to pass. Save and reload if necessary.

The best time to work on the mainline is right after you have met an oncoming train. If it has been a while you have met your last, better save your act before the next area to meet. Trains have been scheduled at about every 90 minutes. That means you have reasonable time if you have a pickup or two along the main and making sure you have time ahead before the next meet.

I may be releasing the whole package in about a week or two if my testers haven't found any issue. I have done a lot of testing, have made slight adjustments and am very satistied with the results so far.

Will update again later

Hello again,

Had work to do in Barrie and had to service all the sidings available there. It took close to 2 hours and 45 minutes to succeed. If you want some challenging switching, this is the place to do it and expect some complex moves. You have to remember that the sidings at Bentoliner and Bemis are facing point sidings. It will be useful to have all your switching there back and forth to the Bayview runaround siding and leaving at the same time the cars to be picked up there later to allow a runaround at the Innisfill runaround siding and to work the Brentwood and Comet facilities. Had done 4 runarounds in the Bayview runaround siding, one (1) for the Innisfill area and a final one at Utopia to setout the cars to end the activity.

Some pictures
The first two inside Barrie approaching the areas to be worked

The second runaround at Bayview beside the Bemis plant to prepare work at the GSE Bentoliner area. The first one had to to with setting two hoppers at Bemis and taking two others. That needed a first runaround. Once this done,GSE was next in line.

Working the Bentoliner area

The Comet plant

Coming back to the Bemis siding where three cars were left there after the switching was done to allow work at Innisfill. Once picked up, it was time for the five-car load to highball to Utopia for the final setout. A CP Southbound manifest happened to pass during the final setout at Utopia.

I will be asking a final report to the testers if it's a go for the release of the template. If so, expect to have it sent shortly after.

Will confirm later

Hello ,

I have finally received a clear go ahead for my testers to release the route template package. I will be preparing the package to send it to Steve for the uploading. Thanks to John, Ted and Benny for their time in testing the templates, it is well appreciated and gave me extra time to improve the package.

But there is something else to be coming soon (See the following pictures)

The BCRY 1000, or formerly the CCGX 1000 was acquired in August 2001 and later went to the BCRY for a few years with the BCRY 1001. That means the BCRY had two engines as being part of its roster for a couple of years, at least between 2002 and 2004.

It stayed under the BCRY until around 2005 or earlier, when it was transferred to the Orangeville-Brampton Railway (OBRY)

The MSTS BCRY 1000 GP9, named "Pride of Barrie & Collingwood" is awaiting permission from Dick Cowen to be released in the Mophouse and TS sites.

It won't be part of the required downloads but the user may wish to switch engines from the default 1001 to the 1000, if he wishes, with AG or using a consist editor.

Will confirm when the template set is sent to be uploaded or if the BCRY 1000 is released.

Confirming the template package has been sent to Steve for uploading. Wanted to find an image for the templates page which would live up to the route's upgrade excellence. I believe this combination of two of the best images of the route will do the thing and you will agree.

Here is the image that will appear in the page:

Be on the lookout for the package soon

Cheers,

Good news,

Dick Cowen had given me the permission to release the BCRY 1000 this morning. I will prepare the package to be uploaded at the Mophouse and at TS. That should be done in a few days.
