Hi to everyone,
I have been away for quite a while. Over 2 1/2 years ago I was hit by a nasty PC virus that just about ruined everything in my PC and external HD. At that time my son was dealing with heart and kidney failure and Train Sim seemed unimportant. He is now waiting for a heart and kidney transplant. I didn't know my 2014 PRR Template was no longer in the Template list. The PRR Template was the only thing I didn't lose because I had it stored on an online storage site. I also received a copy from Harlen in this forum. For those who are unfamiliar with PRR Eastern route it is the largest route ever made. It took 10 men 6 years to create. It has 4500 miles of track, 2400 sidings, 87 yards and covers 3 Divisions and 5 Railroads (PRR-B&O-CNJ-LV-RDG). I want to add to the Template Package with some new ideas I have come up with before I repost it. It now has 115 templates and I want to add 5 to 10 more. Right now it has very large files, Activities (.act, .Pro, .ctp, .cvs and .tdb)-576, Consists-171, Traffic-121, Paths-336 and Services-786. When ready I will send a screen shot and a link for downloading it. It will be a complete Mini-Route with everything except the Valley Pass Payware. You will need the PRR 1950 set, the PRR#3 set and the Troop set. |

Hello to all,
It has been more than three months since my last post. I have taken a step back from template working, following traffic issues in trying to start a new template between New York and Philadelphia. Earlier this week, I have resumed work on the PRR2 route. This time I have chosen a different region. The next template package will find work between both Baltimore's Bayview and Philadelphia's Penrose Yards, on the Eastern end,and both Harrisburg and Enola Yards, on the Western end. This time, the player train will be GG1's electrics. From the Bayview yard, the route will run through Perryville and turning North along the Susquehanna river to reach both WB destinations. From Penrose Yard, it will use a different route through Lancaster, reaching also both locations on the western end of the run. Markers have already been done and working in giving attributes to some remaining sidings. Regions have been set and a SLG generated activity have been created as a test run. Some traffic remains to be set to complete this section of the PRR2 route. Here is the first picture of the WB mainline template at the Bayview yard starting point, with pickups along some of the yards. like the Columbia and Dillerville Yards, just to name a few along the route. PRR2_2image1 by Denis Gionet, sur Flickr Around 150 serviceable sidings inside the package. Those who had received a pre-release of the PRR part 2, I can send you now the entire template package done between Enola/Harrisburg and Altoona. The pre-release contained only three templates (EB,WB and LOCO) while the entire section contains 13 templates. Those wishing to receive the whole package can write to me at <photoman_57> <at> <hotmail> <dot> <ca>. Just as a reminder, part 1 of the the template package includes all templates done for all the non-PRR railroads while part 2 will include only the Pennsylvania Railroad templates. Part one is already available in the templates page. Will post later as it develops -------------------- Denis Gionet
