Hi Guys;

Wih AG4, we can go down the track visiting as many regions as we wish on one path line, for example, visiting regions 1,2,3,4 and return on the same path line stopping again at regons 3,2,1. The problem I have is creating a slightly different path. The path would look like a "Y". I want to come down the left hand side of the "Y" to the bottom, and using a runaround, take the locos off the head end and put them on the rear, throw the switch and go back up the right hand side of the "Y". As far as I can determine, you cannot create that kind of path, am I correct in that presumption or is there a way around it? I am not talking about the normal type of "Y" that we encounter all the time that comes off our path line to reverse our locos to return the way we came. This type of "Y" takes the whole train in a different direction.

Hi Moe,

You could use reverse points to set up that path. Only two points of cation. First, I would be careful using any traffic on that path. It's possible for the player to get caught at a signal or some of the traffic might get caught. This would prohibit any more movement of trains. Second, you might have to limit the number of cars you take around the wye since you will have to set the reverse points with regards to the train length and switch locations. I would suggest setting up a short path around the wye with train of a certain length to see where you might have to set the reverse points. They sometimes get touchy with the location and the placement of the train on the nodes (switches). The train has to be off the switch in order for the reverse point to work correctly.
