I have run AM and set up the types for all my stock, Created a group with only the stock I want used, and ran it.
Everything seemed to go swimmingly.

Opened AG and created an activity, using the same act/template.
I'm now getting this...see pic.
Attached Image

as you can see, there is no .eng file for this stock. see pic.

and the .wag file has it named properly. see pic.

What program generated the 'missing consists.txt' file? That doesn't look like anything that Activity Master produces. Have you tried to run the activity, and if you did, where there any errors?

Route Riter produced the missing consist file...I just saved it.
I tried to run the activity and received "unable to find Julbox40.eng file" and of course the others listed, and all kinds of missing sound errors and eventually a fatal crash to desktop.
While I contribute the missing sound errors to some of the stock not having sound.(intentionally) And all stock has been run through RR to find any Sound or Name errors. Initial results were clean...or fixed.
I can't figure why AG/AM and Route Riter are calling for engines I don't have.
I have tried to get rid of all rolling stock with freds and "no sound" and will attempt to run this again.
I didn't run Route Riter until the activity wouldn't run...as I assumed that I had done everything right.
I will also try this template again with all default stock and hopefully narrow down the culprit.
I know one of the errors (error 5 or 6), had something to do possibly with not having enough room on sidings. The only setting left to use in AG is NO added stock to the scenario.(I've tried to lower the settings). Kinda sad, as that is part of the reason I purchased it. (This may be the fault of the Template designer though.)

I took a look at this template and didn't see any of the rolling stock, that you are having trouble with, in the original templates or template files. I'm not sure what files those are from, but suspect that they have some problems.

Activity Generator will create an activity even if you don't have the stock required installed on your hard drive. It uses the information from the activity template and the corresponding CSV files. If you used Activity Master to change out the cars in the original template, that could have created some issues. One thing you have to be careful of is what stock you choose for replacement. If the template author used 50 foot box cars, and then you replaced them with 60 or 85 foot cars, that would be a problem. Changing the stock, in the activity template, can create issues with the amount of cars that are allowed on a siding if you do not choose cars that are approximately the same type and length.

Valid points, all.
I don't have the rolling stock that this template requires....The list is half a mile long. (It may be freeware - but I've only got a few downloaded stock and I'm already running into issues.)
I'm pretty sure one of my problems is that I loaded all the templates for this route at one time. Maybe I should just load this one.
I don't know how familiar you are with AG/AM but I have one other question that is bugging me.
Once I change/set the car types in the "database"...And, I name 40' Boxcars to say "BX40" and 50' Boxcars to say "BX50"; How can I tell AG to use "BX40" instead of BX? (They are separate in the designation screen.)
Ok, this is getting to be a pain...I tried to download all the required stock....one site requires admin approval...so I must wait.
The reason I ended up trying this is that his "Template" contains about 9 act templates and 9 .csv files.see image

I was going to attempt to just load one but it is so confusing. He also included(I guess normally), about 150 paths and services. IF I'm only wanting to use one Template...I'm at a complete loss. (Unless I add everything, and then I end up with a butt-load of consist that have no matching stock...and a butt-load of error messages.) I'm I over complicating this?

Trying to work on all the templates at once is not really a good thing to do. That would definitely cause some issues. When using Activity Master, I always use the 'Specific List' option to replace rolling stock. Letting Activity Master make choices can give some strange and unwanted results at times. I would start by removing all the files for the template. Let's pick the files for the RMDEastBAPYARDSTemplate. Most of the files will begin with RMDEastBAPYARDSTemplate in the activity, paths, traffic and services folders. The consists are a bit different. Using a text editor, I opened up the activity file and looked at the traffic services and then opened the related services files. The consists needed are RMDEastWBTraffic10, RMDEastWBTraffic15 and RMDEastWBTraffic19. The player consist is RMDEastBAPYARDSPlayer. With those now installed we can load the activity into Activity Master. I would only change the stock that is not on your hard drive. Select the specific list options and then set up the replacement list. Select one car for each of the missing items. Once that is complete, you should be able to replace the rolling stock. Run Activity Generator and create an activity then try to run it. I would also suggest creating a Rolling Stock List that contains all the cars that you would like to use in these templates. It will make it easier and pair down the selections when swapping out stock for the other templates.

Thanks JR,
Found one of my problems, (because I forgot to fully RTFM) smile.gif
Turns out you cannot use the replace engine feature in AG as it causes problems with this particular Template.(and I had. Apparently, he adds a duplicate train to the front of the consist and you have to manually edit the consist to make any changes or add a caboose.)
I have been "under the weather" the last couple of days, so I'm not really up to debugging this ATM, but I will give it a go. I'll drop you a line when I get it sorted.
Thanks for showing me how to sort out the many different templates.
