Full Version: The London & Port Stanley (L&PS) 5th Anniversary Edition route

In 2005 was released the original LPS route ( version 2) by Wayne Campbell and, in 2010 , version 3.01, with major enhancements.

While Benny was testing the LIRR Route template, I have been working on a template pack for the 5th anniversary edition of the route. The template project is now finished and is being tested.

The project has 8 templates and more than 75 serviceable sidings. The timeframe is in the 1930's. For this project, two Canadian National (CN) cabooses have been released today in the Trainsim File Library to add some traffic on the CN line in London.

Here they are:

Among the templates, there are two mainline (NB & SB), 2 local (NB & SB) and switching templates in London (2) & Port Stanley (2).

Here are some shots from activities generated with AG.

Hi to all,

Since my last post, changes are being done to make this project more interesting. I have created traffic on both the Wabash and Michigan Central trackage at St.Thomas. Both engines are available on the Trainsim file library. However, there are no cabooses of both railroads in the F/L. To make this possible, I have done repaints of both the Wabash and Michigan Central cabooses, according to pictures seen online with their original numbers. They are expected to be uploaded later in the Trainsim F/L. Here are pictures of each of the Railroads with engine and corresponding caboose. Also remember that the Michigan Central railroad is controlled by the New York Central Railroad, hence the presence of a NYC engine with the MCRR caboose.

For the L&PS player train, it will be necessary, before crossing both junctions, to have clearance from the dispatcher (CTRL +9) before proceeding through.

Will post on the next post some shots from activities generated by AG.

Hello to all,

A ninth template has been added to the project: working the St.Thomas area.

From the Pinafore Yard, you will be running North, servicing the St-Thomas area industries and interchanges. Once past the Wabash junction, you will be required to make your runaround a few miles North at Yarmouth to service the remaining SB sidings until you reach your Southbound destination at the Pinafore Yard. Just remember that at St-Thomas, before crossing the Wabash and MCRR interchanges, make sure to ask the dispatcher (Ctrl+9) permission to cross both junctions, because of passing Wabash and MCRR trains along their tracks.

Here are some shots from an activity generated by AG. With an initial load of 10 cars, this activity can take up to two hours to run.

Hi again.

Benny has tested the templates and consider them ready for release. Once again, thanks Benny for your time with testing! Thumbs up!

On my side, here are shots from the LONDON Template, servicing the industries and sidings in the London area. It has CN Freight and LPS traffic included. Make sure to clear if possible the LPS mainline due to passenger departures from the LPS station.

I have uploaded today the last two remaining downloads needed for the project in the Trainsim file library: One MCRR and one Wabash caboose, each one of the era. I believe it will be available tomorrow in the F/L.

Will complete the readme file and will get back to confirm its availability for our users.

Hi again,

Just to confirm that the template package is now available to our users. As usual, you can write me to request the template package.

Thanks again to Benny for testing and to all, enjoy the package.

Was wondering if this new template ever made it to the downloads page? I don't see it.

Thank you

Hi Kevin,

Due to issues with the uploading process in the templates page, I can send you directly the files. Simply send me a request at photoman_57 dot hotmail dot ca and will follow your request.

Thanks
