Users please note:  the template works with LHR versions 1.1, 1.2, and 1.3.  I recommend that you update the route to v. 1.3.

Hi Norm,

I have received the following message while trying to load the SLG_LHR act for the 1.31 route.

Failed to initialize activity manager

While opening the AE to have a look, 3 or 4 messages has been seen refering to invalid or deleted sidings. The working area was between Warwick and Maybrook. But I suspect the area around Maybrook may have such changes in siding. Why I can say that? I have originally created an act on 1.2 about 10 days ago, I have decided to try running it today on 1.31 and have run it successfully. No problems of any kind! The working area of my act is Between Greycourt and Sparta Jct at MP 39 west.

Can you have a look at it if it would need any updating?

Thanks

Denis

I will check this, and apologize for the problem.  I had checked the route vs. the signal changes at only a few spots, and did not review the entire set up.

For now we will say that the template is good for LHR 1.2.

I have a new template for LHR v. 1.3.  Due to some very minor changes in the track database, it will not be possible to have a template common to all versions.  So, I am going to recommend that all users upgrade to route version 1.3.

I tested the new template somewhat.  It generates activities quite nicely, all of which will run in MSTS.  But I have not had time to generate, load, AND run the activities to the end.

Now we're experiencing "run time error 75" at times with the 13 template.  It worked great for a few weeks, and now this??? It appears that template version 13 will work with LHR 14, but still gives the "run time error 75" about 75% of the time.  Frustrating.  Anyway, we'll get it fixed, but it may take me a couple of weeks if I have to rebuild it, due to interference by some personal business.

My apologies to all users who are inconvenienced by this.

This was caused by some duplicate entries/errors in the template file for version 1.31.  We are still working on correcting this.  When this has been corrected and tested Norm or I will post an update of this template.  In the mean time, I am temporarily pulling the link to the template from the site.

Thanks,

Steve Davis

It appears that somehow the LHR13 template is completely messed up.  I believe that it will be less work to create a new template than to try to fix this one.  Unfortunately, due to the imminent birth of our first grandchild, I will not be able to work on this immediately.

My desire is to create a template for LHR v 1.4, and perhaps it will be backwards compatible with LHR v 1.31.  If not, I would like to know if we have any users who would want a template for LHR v 1.31 in lieu of a template for LHR v 1.4.

Please let me know.

An update for the LHR templates:

The LHR 14 template is posted.  This has only been tested against LHR v. 1.4, but it may work with LHR v. 1.3.  If anyone tries this, please let us know how it works.

Also, Paul Precht has heard from Richard Shirey that an update is pending, which will be LHR v. 1.5.  I am hoping that the changes will be easy to incorporate.  In any case, I will be doing a template for the new version when it comes out.

Why am I going to all this trouble for so many versions?  Because this is a very fun route with nice operating/switching locations.  I don't want to wait around for the next version (and the next) without a template to facilitate that fun!
