Hi to all,

I have already started building a new template for the RF&P route released in July 2005. It covers from Fredericksburg to Washington, about 50 miles. About 40 sidings inside the route, but lots of AI traffic is expected, freight and passenger since it is a two-track main line and includes passenger traffic from a parallel line. Only 8 downloads estimated for this one.

I am including a shot at Washington to give you an idea.

Denis,

You are sure getting a lot of these done!  In your picture, the CSX 8064 looks really good, weathering etc.  Where did you get that?  If payware I'd be interested in buying it.

Thanks,

Steve

Hi Steve,

The engines are the SLI CSX engine pack1. it includes GP38's and sd40-2's. With Dieselswest CSX AC6000, they are my favorite CSX engines. A while ago, they also included as a bonus in the CSX pack a CSX C40-8. I don't think it is included anymore. It could have been a great addition to the AI traffic.

I had more time these days (on vacation), the wheather was great, done simple things with the family, working around the house, relax and working on some templates. It was some of the best vacations in years. Vacation is coming to an end and back to work on Monday

Hi to all,

Just an update to the work being with the RF&P route. The Southbound template is ready and testing has been great so far. Two paths for the template, one from Washington and the other from the Auto Train area at Lorton.

Please take note for the purpose of the RF&P templates, the auto train area will be used as a yard for pickups and setouts. Great area for switching cars. From a #2 view (and the scenery density at 8) it wasn't that evident to me that the area could be one yard for passenger trains because of the platform present in the area.

This is why I have changed its vocation for the AG4 template and allows an additional starting path for the template.

The first picture is from that area and most will understand what I am saying here. Also other shots from my first test of the template.

Enjoy

Thanks to you Denis this has now been posted!

How did you get that last low-angle camera shot, I really like it?

Thanks,

Steve
