Do you have MSTS in some location other than the default? It is okay to do so, but you must tell AG where it is. This is usually done the first time AG is run. Otherwise, AG will look in the default location, which is C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator. The trainset folder will be located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\Trains\Trainset.

This information is in a file called SLG.ini. This file keeps track of recent templates which have been worked in AG. Each template is listed with a complete address, such as C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\ROUTES\ConrailIndy 2\ACTIVITIES\SWLACTCRIndyTemplate.csv. As you can see, the first four parts of this address define where MSTS is located, and this is how AG knows where to look for your TRAINSET folder.

Norm is right. But I'm a little puzzled, since if you opened the template then AG should be using that route name as the prefix for where your \TRAINSET folder is. So my other guess is maybe you don't have your \TRAINSET folder in a folder called "\TRAINS" within "\TRAINSET". If not AG won't be able to find it.

Maybe there is a way I can improve this behavior. I'd like to know more, maybe we can come up with a fix. Please tell me the FULL PATH NAME of the folder where your rolling stock for this particular route is actually located (i.e. if it's a mini-route). So in other words give me the path name like Norm did above, "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\Trains\Trainset." Then, please also give me the full path name where the activity or template you're working on is stored.

Thanks,

Steve
