Hello Everyone,

My name is Rich. I've had my copy of MSTS since it came out. But I never really got into it til lately when I saw all the add-on's for it now. So I started with Activity Generator 4.2.5, Activity Master 1.5.9, Route-Riter 7.0.89, and an SLI CSX Engine Pack.

My copy of MSTS has update v1.4 and MSTS Bin v1.7.051922. I also have Newroads v4.0 and xtracks v3.2.

The 2 routes I'm working with right now are NECv4 and Allegheny.

With NECv4 I keep getting this error "Consist32888called for in the template, could not be found in the activity (.act) file" I'm using the CSX SB template. I notice I get this when I MAX out the railfill. without the railfill it seems to work fine.

Allegheny I get no work order in the F11. No matter what template I use. I've tried both my SLI Loco's and the default ones.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks,
Rich

Rich,

Thanks for writing. We'll investigate both problems. I'm sure that Steve will have answers for both pretty easily. As for the Allegheny work order, AG creates its own so in the short term you can print it. That way you are not dependent on the F11.

Hi Rich,

I am not sure about Allegheny, I don't have that route. Maybe the template author Pete Mulvey will read this and help. I am not sure what you are saying about the locomotives, it shouldn't matter what locomotive you use. Do you get a printed switch list, or at least a switch list on the screen, after you generate your activity for Allegheny?

I wrote the NEC4 template and it wasn't written for the latest version of Activity Generator (AG4). So it might be that some railcars are overrunning the sidings and reducing the "world fill" will help.

Do you have to turn the world fill completely off or just reduce it somewhat?

Also please try another template, one for AG4 written by Norm Beveridge or Denis Gionet and see if that works without problems, so we can determine if the problem is the route or template, or your installation of Activity Generator.

If you can't get this to work I can help you out live on line, we just have to agree on a day and time to "meet" using my remote troubleshooting service.

Thanks and sorry about the problems.

Best,

Steve
