Jim:

Just wanted you to know this new version is out. I know you have done all the templates for the other versions. If you decide not to do it let me know and I will add it to my list.

Just a note on my progress. I am in the final stages with the templates for Cajon 4. With the addition of West Colton, it made things a bit interesting. For the equipment, I have pretty much used the same downloads from Cajon 3 with a few additions of some UP equipment. There are 4 templates. The additional 2 cover the UP from West Colton to Barstow. I will be including versions with and without the 3DTrains Surfliner and Metrolink sets. They'll be set to the 3DTrains version of the equipment. I don't own the FPM version of the sets. I could set them up for the FPM version as well, but will need some information on what folders they are in. There isn't much on the UP side with the exception of West Colton Yard. Almost all the switching is on the BNSF portion of the route. However, I do have trains, AI and Player, running the UP side to San Bernardino, Keenbrook and Silverwood. If you're lucky, you might even need wait for a train to go up or come down the two UP connectors. Traffic thru the pass contains both BNSF and UP trains which enter at San Bernardino, Keenbrook or Silverwood. West Colton is massive so you all might have to play around with the settings for the car fill to get the best performance for your system. It's also a strange yard to work due to the way the yard tracks are set up. Trains will have to snake around the switches because the ladders are not set up correctly. I should be done within the next couple of weeks.

The templates for Cajon Pass 4 have been completed. If anyone would like to test them before I send them to Steve, please PM or email me. I only ask that if you do get sent one of these sets, that you at least provide some feedback.

There are three versions that will be available.

They include:

One for Surfliner and Metrolink equipment purchased from 3DTrains.
One for Surfliner and Metrolink equipment purchased with Facing Point Media's Surfliner route.
One for individuals that did not purchase either of the above listed sets.

Hi JEMeindl... I would like to test the version that does not include payware. I have sonee some testing for Denis Gionet on the MacTier route, and others. Will send feedback as probs discovered. I have the Version 3 of this route and have used it extensively around the LA area, Prefer switching to long runs.
Thanks Ted Sloan

The template has been sent to Steve. It should be posted soon.

Make sure you read the readme file. There are three versions of this template. Two versions use the Surfliner and Metrolink rolling stock from 3DTrains. There is one for the 3DTrains version and one for the FPM version of the equipment. Thanks to Nick Ozorak for providing me with the information needed for the FPM version. I have also provided some updated *.eng and *.wag files for equipment used in the template.
