Here again,

I recently baught AM again\., A while back I had a crash on a external hard drive. I had a copy of AM on it. I am having the same problem as I had before I baught the new AM.

Some time ago I was getting a pop up error and I requested help. (see below) The file listing the required files was stored in the drive that crashed.

I am just grasping at straws, but think maybe I do not have all of the required files again. If it is not to much trouble, I wonder If I could get the list again. Another strange thing I see now is where AM shows the engine being used and the list next to it, on this list of engines that can be used, none have the astrick, (*)showing that it can be a lead engine. Thanks for any help.

I think I found out why AM is not changing cars and eng, In MSTS, Train, Trainset when you double click a wag. or eng. , It opend to another file. There should be a wag. or eng in this file. Well most of mine does not have the wag or eng. I have no ideah how they dissapeared.

I am in the proccess of deleting msts and will install only msts and 1 route and the wag and eng files and see if the wag and eng files are there. I wonder what deleted the wag and eng files. This should work. (I hope) Thanks

Hi Bert....that happened to me also. I had stored everything using TrainStore, and neglected to unstore. That left all my engines and cars without the .eng and .wag files. Once I realized what I had done, unstored everything, all was right with AM and AG. Good luck

Bert,

You should never have to buy this program twice. I'm sorry you did. I am going into PayPal to refund your second purchase price. If you ever lose your copy I'm happy to replace it, just email me.

I hope the suggestions on the forum work, please let me know if they don't.

Thank you,

Hi Steve,

Thanks for what you did. I think the crash that lost my backup was my fault. That is why I paid again. Thanks again.

I am having better luck keeping the eng and wag files. I now have Ohio RR loaded and working. (so far) As you know, it is a large route with a lot of work orders. I have worked over 1100 wo there. If I run into loosing wag and eng files I will try not using Train Store. Now that I am sure I was loosing the files because I was using train store wrong at times. The old mind is not what it used to be. Thanks again,
