Full Version: Trouble installing AM on new xp computer
Skyline User's Forum > > Activity Master
Old Geaser
I bought a reconditioned xp computer with more poop than my old slow one.

I have saved the AM download and when I try to start AM I get this pop up.

(Component comdly32..ocx or one of its dependents not correctly registered : a file is missing or invalid.)

Where do I go from here? I use AM every time I start setting up a new work order.
Can some one tell this old man how to get AM working? Thanks

Bert,

Check to make sure that the file does exist on your drive. The file is COMDLG32.OCX. It should be in the folder C:\Windows\System32.

I don't think you can register the file. I'm pretty sure the program has to do it. You might also try to re-install Activity Master as a last resort.

Hi Jim and Steve,

You guys are the greatest. I did a search for the file and did not find it. I reconnected the old computer and found the file at 3 locations. I copied it to a flash drive and installed it in the new computer.

Every thing appears to be running well now. sure glad to get rid of the old computer. Thanks for the help.
