I am very new to AG. In fact I am trying to complete my first one so this could be operator error. Here is what I have determined.
I have the Cascade Crossings Route and I have downloaded the template. When I start the AG I tell it I want the WB file. It loads that fine and I get to the screen where all the choices are made. Some of the decisions work just fine when I click OK to generate the activity I get a screen to give it a name. At other times when I click generate I get a Run Time Error 13 Type Mismatch. I have been playing with this and here is what I have found. The path I choose is Crescent Lake to Klamath. On the top right I choose the Crescent Lake, Mowich, Gilchrest locations for pick ups. In the middle right I choose Chemult, Diamond Lake and Lenz as working locations. On the bottom right I can choose anything else except Chiloquin or Wocus. The minute I do I either get the run time error immediately or when I click the OK to generate button? I don't know if this has anything to do with it but I ran Activity Master on the template and it stated I was short 4 cars. I had Activity Master replace those four cars. Anyway, this has me puzzled...thanks |

Thanks for the help Steve. Here is a little more information. The run time error occurs just prior to the screen where you can give the activity a name. As long as I don't select Chiloquin or Wocus it will allow me to name it and move forward. Also, I have started AG cleanly repeatedly and it still does it. And just a little more info is that I even have done it without any other inputs on start up other than choosing the boxes on the right, all the rest are left alone including not choosing to change the engines or clicking the 'set railcar fill' button.
I have not yet tried other routes but will soon so will see if this expands to any others I have or if it is limited to just the Cascades route. Too bad too, I grew up at the south end of this route in Klamath Falls, Oregon. My dad worked for the Great Northern then later Burlington Northern. As a kid I remember riding in the sky blue Great Northern engines. |

I have checked the SWLTDB and SWLACT files to determine if some car type is called for at Chiloquin or Wocus which is not included in the car types available, but everything seems in order. I have the same error occurring in another template being tested, where one user is getting the run time error 13 but another is not, yet they are selecting exactly the same parameters in the template. -------------------- Norman
